Robert Scherer, President- email Rob
Scherer, president and founder of TAG, has more than 20 years of business and financial experience planning and managing complex programs for clients in a variety of different industries. He has worked with companies with annual revenues ranging from $1 million to over $100 million.
Prior to founding TAG, Scherer was the CFO for one of the largest reinforcing steel contractors in California. Scherer is also a former president and board member of the Construction Financial Management Association. His expertise in the building and development industry has resulted in over 50 national and local speaking engagements.
Scherer graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in International Business. He holds an MBA from San Diego State University. He resides with his wife and three children in Ocean Beach, CA.

Steve Bond, Executive Vice President- email Steve
Steve joined TAG in 2006 as the Managing Director of Next Stage Software, one of TAGs subsidiaries, where he was responsible for strategy and operations. Under his leadership, Next Stage grew rapidly to become one of the top accounting and operations software VARs in San Diego. He facilitated an internal merger with TAG in late 2007 as part of the companys evolution into an employee-owned company.
Previously, Steve served as a consultant at Administaff, where he oversaw business development and client relations. Bond graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from San Diego State University. Steve participates in a number of local organizations including San Diego Rotary Club 33, MIT Forum and is the past president of the San Diego State University Business Alumni Network

Tom Bergman, Vice President, Software Division – email Tom
As the Vice President of TAG’s Software Division, Tom Bergmann is responsible for the all aspects of TAG’s software services including the management of the Sage VAR relationship, managing staff and contractors, and representing TAG’s software expertise in the community.
Tom joined TAG in 2010 after founding HowCanIHelpYou.com, an employment strategy toolkit for those seeking jobs, as well as those who are employed and seeking to enhance their careers. Previously, Tom served as Principal at CUSTOMatrix, a management consultancy focused on bringing money to clients’ bottom lines. He worked with clients in various industries to determine IT strategy, select and implement technology systems, and mentor IT staff for high performance.
Prior to joining CUSTOMatrix, Tom worked at Gartner and BearingPoint where he headed various technology practices. Tom holds a MBA in international finance and a BA in anthropology. He has been working with MAS90/200 for 15 years.
Kyle Brierley, Certified MAS Consultant – email Kyle
Kyle joined the TAG team in May 2008 after he spent several years working primarily with Distribution & Manufacturing companies on Sage Software products. Kyle has brought his expertise in QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions along with years working in consulting firms to bear on meeting the needs of the Clients of TAG. Kyle is a graduate of San Diego State University with a B.S. in Economics and Finance. He enjoys playing basketball and surfing in Pacific Beach.
Jane Montijo, Customer Service Manager – email Jane
Jane has been the primary point of contact for all of TAG’s customers since she joined the company in 2004. Jane has over 15 years of experience in software consulting and support. Jane specializes in Contractor V Job Cost Accounting software. She has over 12 years of both hands on and training experience with Contractor V, MAS 90, MAS 200, Sage Timberline Office, and Sage Master Builder. As an integral part of our customer relations, Jane provides great service before, during, and after the purchase of our software and services.
Jim Server, Certified MAS Consultant – email Jim
Jim is a technical guru with deep expertise in data migration, software deployment and implementation. Jim has prior experience as both a Property Construction Manager and as a Production/Purchasing Manager for California Turbo. He provides implementation, consulting, training and support on Sage MAS 90/200 and 500 and Sage Extended Enterprise Suite and SageCRM.
